Aaron's last visit
Lisa: Aaron went over to see the boys one last time before they leave to go home to their family. They were so excited that they will be with their mommy but asked if they can come and visit us sometime. What a tough day for us.

Park and zoo visit
Our foster parents took us out today. First we went to Bur Oak Park to ride our bike and scooter.
Next they took me to the eye glass store to repair my bent glasses. We will miss flying in the air, with Aaron's help.

Bittersweet goodbye... again
Lisa: Aaron took the day off so he could bring the boys to their temporary home for the next couple of weeks. It just so happens to be our friends who are also fostering-to-adopt that are taking them in. The transition should be smoother than going to a complete stranger-foster home like the agency originally planned. The boys know them as Aunt Nikki and Uncle Dave. Aaron helped the boys move all their toys and clothes over and stayed with them for awhile so they could get use to their new space. At the end they cried for Aaron, and he had to make a good night call to the boys so they could settle down. But we trust that our friends will do what's best for the boys and we will give them the space to do so. Since I hate good-byes I didn't go; I went to work to take my mind off of the sad situation.
Love you Zaiden and Jace! Be good!

A day with Cookie
A visit to Elyria's North Branch Library
Then we went to see a movie, the Lego Movie. We loved the movie! I think Cookie and foster mom took a nap. Everything is AWESOME! Can you see Cookie in this picture?
Lunch at Ruby Tuesday
A great day for all
Cascade park
Aaron took us to Cascade Park this morning while our foster Mom slept in. We got to see a rive and a waterfall. We love taking pictures and posing silly. We had fun!
We walked around Ely Park in downtown Elyria too.

Ice cream and a movie
Since we were good boys this week, we got to have dinner and ice cream at Dairy Queen before seeing a movie! Happy, happy day!
Since we are small we get our own booster seats to help us see the huge screen.

Going to college
Tonight Lisa took us to college where she works to see her student workers give a presentation about Filipinos. Our foster Mom is part Filipino. After the speeches we got to try some Filipino food for dinner. It was yummy! All the college students were very nice to us and thought we were very cute and well behaved. That made foster Mom really proud! Foster Dad too!

Children Services Update: Meeting social worker #3
Lisa: This process is getting crazier. Their second case worker is moving on to a promotion position so the boys are getting another case worker... their 3rd! Poor Jacqueline has little to no knowledge of this family's history and is probably getting many stories from all parties involved. She seemed overwhelmed but caring enough. I hope she does a better job than the current one!

Boys day.. cruising Oberlin
Waiting for our foster Mom to finish her appointment. We walked around Oberlin.
Our foster Mom is going to mad that Jace is sticking out his tongue in our pictures. She said it ruins our pictures. We are cute just the way we are.

Children Services Update: Court decision
Lisa: Well, it's official. The courts have decided the boys will be moving back with their birth parents. This is so crazy!! It seems to us like the birth parents didn't complete all their commitments to their case plan, had tested positive for drugs on occasion, and have been completely rude and unwilling at times to the agency and courts. I mean a little effort was good enough? That is F'up!!! If this is how the court runs things we want no part in it anymore. We feel used and very hurt that anything we reported in the best interest of the boys were not even considered. It makes me feel so much better to know the boys will probably be fending for themselves sooner or later and get to watch adult, violent TV shows and eat junk food for their random meals.... NOT!! I blame the lack of concern from their primary case worker as well. Nothing we reported were used and basically we were told what to do, even by the birth parents! No consideration that we are full-time workers.
I am booking a vacation for Aaron and I immediately. We need to regroup again, and fast!

I want glasses just like Aaron
I finally got my glasses from the store. I actually got two. This one is my favorite -- just like Superman's Clark Kent.
All the shopping we did today knocked out my brother. Time for a nap.

Super Bowl Sunday
We had a fun day today. First we got to see our birth parents and hang out with our older brothers. Then we came home and got to watch a football game on TV. Our foster Mom taught us how to cheer and we love cheering! We can yell really loud for the team we like and tell them to run fast or that they did a great play. I got to wear an actual football jersey for our home team, the Cleveland Browns. Jace got to wear foster Dad's favorite team's jersey, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Foster Mom had red on for the San Francisco 49ers. Go team go!!
We go to dance to some great music and went to sleep a little later than usual. Lisa said we are great dancers. We made her happy. She also said have to wake up early still. I hope I can remember all the tasks I have to finish before going to school!

A date with my Foster Dad
Aaron brought me to see the eye specialist today in Cleveland. One of my eye has a hard time focusing on things and it wonders in a little without my control. Now I get to play pirate for part of each day; the patch will help that eye get stronger because it has to focus without help from my other eye. I get to wear glasses too. We'll have to buy them at an eye-wear store later. But for now, my Foster Dad took me to lunch. I had chicken and green beans. I thought I was getting away with eating vegetables since Foster Mom is not here but Aaron ordered them for me. Great. But I had fun leaving daycare early and hanging out with Aaron. I wonder if he'll let me watch TV and play?
