Another day at the Zoo

Doing some food shopping

After a much needed nap (Lisa included), Lisa took us shopping for food and supplies.  We helped by keeping our hands and heads in our car and driving the cart around.  We had fun.

Go Aaron go!!

We had enough time to make it to Finley Park and see Aaron finish his mountain biking time trials this afternoon.  Go, go, go!!

Aaron raced well -- 8.5 miles in 51 minutes.  He was a bit muddy and had fun with his friends.  We got to play on the swing set before going home for our nap.  Lisa said our schedules are off after staying up late last night.  My brother hasn't been listening all day and went into timeout twice now.

Jace and I met Lisa's friend Liz for brunch today.  Since we had breakfast with Aaron earlier Lisa said we could have dessert.  We had nutella crepes with banana.  Jace didn't care for it but I loved it and finished both of our bananas.

 

It's Aloha Friday!

Lisa said we look cute when we are getting ready for school each morning.  We are brushing teeth and combing hair in this picture.

We got to leave school early today.  Lisa took us to a WIC appointment where we checked our nutrition and were given vouchers to get food to support a healthier diet.

After Aaron, Lisa, Jace and I met Cookie for dinner at Smitty's.  We all had burgers and french fries, our favorite!

We are on our way to Cookie's house to hang out and play.  Aaron and Lisa is going a date.

We get to see our brothers once a week during our family visits at children services.  We are so happy to see each other!

Our first trip to the Cleveland Zoo

 

Aaron and Lisa took us to the zoo.  We got to see elephants and ponies and rabbits and kangaroos.  We got to pet a goat and a miniature horse.  On our way out of the Australian Adventure I tripped over my own shoe and fell down.  Lisa said I hit my head really hard on the cobblestone walkway.  My bump turned purple immediately and grew into a huge lump in minutes.  I cried because it hurt.  The ice Aaron put on my head hurt too because it was so cold.  I didn't want to leave the zoo yet so we ended up seeing the lions on our way out.  Aaron said they will take us back to the zoo one day soon to see the rest of the animals.

Check out our new ride!

Lisa bought us a bike since we went to school all week.  We can't wait to learn how to peddle... with training wheels for now.

 

We love milkshakes

We had dinner at Steak & Shake tonight.  We got to have our own milkshakes if we ate at least half of our hamburgers and french fries.  Yum!  Cookie joined us for dinner too.

Children Services update: Month 1

Lisa:  In the short time we have had the boys there has been some changes going on with their case.  The once a month visits turned into once a week visits.  And the 2-hour visit per week may be changing to 1-hour visits due to the parent's disruptive behavior in their meetings.  We met the boys' social worker Steve who is being removed from the case and replaced with Alexandria next week, at the parent's request.  So far the interactions with children services have been good.  This time around it seems so easy because of the lack of appointments these boys require (SO FAR!).  They have yet to see the pediatrician in a couple of weeks though.

The parent's case plan to improve themselves should be drawn up in a couple of weeks.  Let's see if they follow through or if we have a chance to keep the boys.

In the meantime Aaron and I have to watch the boys' tendencies to get hurt and bruised.  It's one of the things that set off their parents who are trying to blame everyone else for these boys' poor welfare.  The boys are pretty klutzy while being active toddlers!

First day at day care!

Good morning!  Aaron woke all of us up early today because we are going to school.

 

 

 

I was not happy that Aaron and Lisa had to go to work and leave me at school.  I cried when they left but all the kids wanted to play cars and trucks with me and soon I was hanging out with Mr. Andrew, my teacher, and having fun with my classmates.  We played, ate lunch and took a nap.  Jace is in Ms. Jordan's class.  He didn't mind being left at school because he had so much fun playing and making new friends.  He just didn't want to take a nap.  We were so happy when Aaron and Lisa came to pick us up!

Bur Oak bike ride

Jace, Aaron and I joined Aunt Nikki, Bryn and Uncle Dave for a bike ride today.  Lisa came too but took Ala and Kaika for a walk in the meantime.

Lisa said the video is a little shaky because the dogs were pulling her to walk on while she taped us.

Lisa made us a road to follow with our fire engine and scooter.  She also made us wear our helmets.

 

 

My brother put himself in timeout since he went over the danger line.  Aaron and Lisa said we are not to go over the line by the sidewalk so we avoid cars from hitting us.  Safety is fun!

Cookie time... lunch at Wendy's

Aaron and Lisa decided that we should stay home instead of going to see his bike race today.  We had enough of the heat yesterday.  Instead we met Cookie and Ken for lunch at Wendy's.

 

Lisa was a little sad today.  She said it was her little Nate's birthday.  She misses him very much but says having us in her life now makes everything much better.
